'Villain Hitting' or 'Da Siu Yan' (打小人) is a Hong Kong folk tradition that involves cursing one's enemies. The enemy is represented by a paper effigy which is beaten by either the client's shoe or the villain hitter. After being beaten and cursed, the 'enemy' is then 'fed' to a paper yellow tiger, symbolising a sacrifice to the all powerful White Tiger, which takes the cursed enemy to hell and condemns them to the curse that's been cast on them. This t-shirt pays homage to this peculiar but endearing centuries old tradition.
